Moses Apsan, Esq. immigrated from Brazil in 1955. He is the Past   President of the Federal Bar Association, New Jersey Chapter (1997- 2002), a Coordinator of the Annual Immigration Seminar, and a member of The American Immigration Lawyers Association. He graduated New York Law School with a Juris Doctor, Cum Laude degree and was an editor and writer for the Law Review.  He is a 1966 graduate of Bronx High School of Science. He writes for over 20 newspapers, publishes a quarterly newspaper, and has a weekly Immigration Television Show, every Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on SPT Television in Newark (Portuguese). He writes and publishes web sites on legal matters.  In 2001 he won the Caribbean Bar Associations award for Humanitarian Service and the Brasilans Online award in 2002 for service to the community. He is licensed to practice in the State of New York and the New Jersey, United States District Court of New Jersey, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Board of Immigration Appeals.  He speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
John Durst's entire legal career has been spent in the specialty of personal injury law. He has tried hundred of cases and is recognized expert in the area of Products Liability and litigation. He graduated New York Law School in 1980 with the degree Juris Doctor, cum laude. He has written and updates regularly four law books which are used by many lawyer's as legal resource. From 1994 to 95 he produced on Channel 16, New York City, a Weekly half-hour television talk show on legal topics. He was the Legal and Safety Consultant, "CNBC Live with Lynn Doyle and Michael Young", CNBC's "Home & Family", "Fairfield Exchange", the "Adrienne Berg Show", "Hudson Valley Live", US Magazine, Business Week, New York Times. Andrew Bersin, Esq. spent ten years in the homicide bureau of the Brooklyn DA's office as prosecutor, in charge of cases ranging from drug charges to homicide.  His tenure  the  District Attorneys office trained him well for trial work.  He left the District Attorney's office to go into private practice and has spent the last ten years trying civil and criminal cases. He is licensed to practice in the State of New York, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Dennis Strom, Esq. (of counsel) is senior attorney experienced in Bankruptcy and Tax laws.  He was admitted to the Bar in 1954, New York Eastern and Southern District Courts of New York, US District Court and the Court of Appeals, State of New York. He was Certified as a Public Accountant in 1968.  He received a BBA degree from Pace University and  an LLB from Brooklyn Law School.  He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York State Association of Attorneys.  He currently is responsible for all appearances in the US Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Southern District of New York.
Neil Bernstein, Esq. (of counsel) was awarded a juris doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1987 and previously granted a Master in French form New York University. He has over 14 years experience in deportation and removal proceedings and has tried most every type of immigration case.  He has represented hundred of cases in front of the Immigration and Naturalization service, including, marriage, family, citizenship  and business related cases.  He previously was employed as a journalist. 
Steven G. Tepper, has  been a Senior Divorce paralegal for Apsan Law Offices since 1983.  Prior to that he was a founding partner of Divorce Associates, a company that pioneered and wrote the uncontested pro-se divorce preparation manuals and was the New Jersey Director for divorces since 1978.  He has personally supervised the process of over 100,000 divorces.  Divorce Associates was featured in Newsweek Magazines, Money Magazine, New York Times , The Daily News and many radio and TV shows throughout the country and Canada. Mr. Tepper attended George Washington University and grew up in New York City.  He has a understanding of Spanish.
Gary Heisel   is the Senior paralegal working directly for John Durst. He is responsible for the most complicated and delicate cases.  Mr. Heisel has a multitude of talents. He is a songwriter and musician, as well as serving as spokesman and investigator for The Firm.  He and John Durst went to high school together in Hawaii.  He now lives with his wife in New York City, and writes and performs music when not working at The Firm.  He  released "Sounds Like Fun", with Otis Dupree Bowser, "The King Bee", and is at work producing more CDs at The Firm recording studio. 
Jacqueline Polo-Pagano is a Senior Paralegal Supervisor, in charge of the Citizenship, Family  and Religious law division of Apsan Law Offices.  She has  over 17 years of experience in U.S. Immigration Laws.  Since joining the firm in 1995 she has handled many types of immigration matter,  such as adjustment of status, visa processing, waiver, removal of conditions, reentry permits, TPS, Amnesty, V visas,  K visas and Citizenship.  She is experienced at successfully  preparing and submitting case under the religious  law of the Immigration and Nationality Act, including R visa and Special Immigrant Visas.  She is a graduate of the  North American/Peruvian Institute (English/Post Grade), The Goethe Institute in Germany, Bloomfield College in English and Computers in Business and achieved a Paralegal Associates Degree in Science form Essex County College.  She is presently continuing her studies in Criminal Justice.  In Peru she was an Executive Bilingual Secretary at ELA Language Administration.  She speaks Spanish and understands Portuguese.
Senobia Feldman, is a Senior Paralegal in charge of processing Labor Certification cases from the beginning to final Adjustment of Status, including Reduction In Recruitment processes.  She is responsible for the I-140 Petition applications by the employers, which calls upon her mathematical and logical skills. She is an expert in restaurant, construction, mechanical and domestic cases. Prior to undertaking this position she was the Senior Paralegal Administrator in our New York City branch.  Since being employed with Apsan Law Office in 1993 she has succeeded in many hundreds of case.  She has a Masters degree in Business Management, graduating with Honors from the  Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).  She is fluent in Spanish and understands Portuguese.
Teresa Perrone is a Senior Paralegal  and has been a member of our staff for over 10 years. Beginning as a paralegal in the New Jersey office, she has risen to become the Senior paralegal on Staff in our New York office.  She  supervises of both Immigrant and Non Immigrant cases. She has handled most every type of immigration cases such as  Family Petitioners, Marriage cases, Labor Certification, Amnesty, Special Religious workers, deportation cases, appeals,  H, L I, B, K F, K  V and R Visas. She has over 20 years experience in US Immigration Laws. She is a graduate of Colegio Marco Antonio Reynoso in Quiaquil, Ecuador.  She speaks Spanish and understands Portuguese.
Elizabeth Rodrigues Santos, is an attorney licensed in Brazil and is employed as a Matrimonial and Bankruptcy paralegal at Apsan Law Offices. She graduated in 1996 from the  Universidade Santa Ursula in  Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with a Bachelor of Law degree. She is also a graduate in  Specialization Studies in Political Science and International Relations and received a LATO SENSU Graduation Certificate from Instituto Metodista Bennett in Rio. Currently she is enrolled in the Paralegal Studies program at Fiorello H. LaGuardia College.  She had previously worked  as a civil  Lawyer in  Brazil. She speaks Portuguese, French and Spanish.
Nicole Gentzel is a graduate of Dowling College, with a degree in Paralegal Studies.  She has been with the firm since its formation in 1990.  She knows everything about the New York court system.  She lives in Long Island with her husband and two children.
Shawna Conley Feeley  earned her degree in Communications from Fordham University.  She has been a paralegal with with The Firm since 1992.  She  prepares pleadings for lawyer's review and  coordinates the processing of case though the courts. She was the co-host, for two years, of The Firm Production "Durst Law", which appeared weekly in New York City. She and her husband have two children, and live in Connecticut. 
Joao M. Vianna, is the Director of IT and Web Development at Apsan Law Offices.  He is Vice-President of Tufone, Inc. a recognized leader in the (VoIP) Voice over Internet Provider telephone industry. He is one of the most recognized and respected programmer in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and has been a Technology professional for over  fifteen years.
